We believe that the earliest years of a child’s life are some of the most formative—and that every child deserves to know they are loved and valued from the very beginning. When we care for children during these critical early stages, we help shape their sense of identity and hope for the future. Your visit and support help us continue this life-changing work, leaving a lasting impact on each child’s life.

Visitors (1 day to 1 week)

We welcome short-term visitors and groups who want to see our work firsthand and share time with the children and team at Casa Josefina.

  • • Tour Casa Josefina and learn about our mission, model, and daily work

    • Spend time playing with and engaging our children in meaningful ways

    • Help with light service projects and maintenance of the home, which could include cleaning, painting, or mild repairs

    • Share meals or conversations with our staff to better understand our vision

    • Explore opportunities to partner with or support our work moving forward

    • Church Teams

    • Families

    • Student Groups

    • Partner Organizations looking for a short-term service or learning opportunity.

  • • It is preferable that at least one member of the group has a working knowledge of Spanish

    • A letter of recommendation from your organizing group or church may be requested

Volunteers (1 to 6 months)

If you’re looking for a meaningful, hands-on experience, consider joining us as a volunteer.

  • • Assist with early childhood education and developmental activities


    • Share unique skills such as language, art, music, or therapy


    • Build relationships with our staff and children through consistent presence


    • Participate in the daily life and rhythm of the home

    • Teachers

    • Psychologist

    • Speech Therapist

    • Social Worker

    • Nutritionist

    • Chef

    • Nurse

  • • A basic working knowledge of Spanish is required


    • You may be asked to complete a brief application and background check


    • An interview with our administrative staff is also part of the process


    • Housing and transportation to Casa Josefina are not included
